Blackbird is from the Non MAU "Pryde of the X-Men" episode.

The Blackbird is a large jet used by the X-Men for transport.

History[]

The Blackbird is a large jet that has been modified by Professor X so that he could easily transport his X-Men to missions. He keeps it in a large hanger under the Xavier Mansion. Cyclops is usually the pilot.

The X-Men Cyclops, Colossus, Storm, and Dazzler used it to travel to the Deep Space Observatory and back while Wolverine and Nightcrawler followed in a smaller jet.

All of the X-Men then left in the blackbird to Asteroid M. Kitty Pryde snuck aboard as she did not want to be left behind. When they arrived the X-Men, minus Xavier, left in space suits to board the asteroid. Xavier realized that Kitty was there and asked her to come out. She had her own space suit on and phased through the hull to go to the asteroid.

The X-Men were successful in their mission. Unfortunately, Nightcrawler must have stayed aboard the asteroid or else the Earth would have been destroyed. Fortunately Xavier formulated a plan. All of the X-Men headed back towards the Blackbird. Xavier kept the Blackbird on a viewscreen that Nightcrawler could see. Xavier told him that he must teleport aboard at the very last second. Unfortunately Nightcrawler waited too long and the comet hits the asteroid.

Luckily Nightcrawler did teleport away but into the vacuum of space. But he was entering the atmosphere and would have burnt up. The X-Men hurried to get the grappling beam on him. Nightcrawler disappeared just before the beams could latch onto him. They heard a banging noise from the back and went to investigate to find Nightcrawler alive and well.

Kitty thanked Nightcrawler for his heroism. Storm asked Wolverine if he was wrong. He says that Kitty is still no X-Man. Not yet anyways.
