Marvel Entertainment has announced the second season of their latest series Spider-Man. The season will debut with a one-hour premiere on Monday, June 18th at 6:30 PM ET on Disney XD, DisneyNow, and Disney XD VOD. After that, the series will debut every Monday through August.
The season features appearances by Descendants actors Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart, MECH-X4 actor Nathaniel Potvin, NASCAR racer Ryan Blaney, and social media sensation Teala Dunn. The season follows the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man as he navigates his sophomore year at Horizon High while also facing a growing selection of villains.

Yesterday marked the twentieth anniversary of the premiere of Godzilla. The film was the first American remake of the famous 1954 Japanese film. It follows a group of scientist, military soldiers, reporters, and French secret service as they attempt to deal with a building-sized lizard, created due to radiation exposure, that has come to New York City destroying everything in its way. The film was a bomb with critics and moderate box office success, becoming the third highest-grossing film of the year. It was widely derided by the creators and fans of the original films. Joseph Campanella has passed away on Wednesday at the age of ninety-three in his home in Sherman Oaks, California.
Campanella has over two-hundred television and film roles to his fifty-year acting career. For five seasons, he appeared on the crime drama Mannix, for which he received a supporting actor Emmy nomination. He appeared in three plays on Broadway, earning a Tony nomination for A Gift of Time. He made appearances on numerous works like The Untouchables, The Fugitive, Mission: Impossible, The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote, 21 Jump Street, Batman: The Animated Series, Walker, Texas Ranger, and Star Trek: Voyager. Stan Lee is suing the company he helped found, Pow! Entertainment. Lee and several others formed the company in 2001 but recently it was sold to a Hong Kong company Camsing International.
The lawsuit alleges that unscrupulous business partners took advantage of Lee's declining vision following the death of his wife Joan. It claims that Pow! took advantage of Lee's macular degeneration to get him to sign away exclusive rights to his name and likeness. The suit also claims that Pow! was given the rights to use Lee's social network accounts, though he recently reacquired his Twitter account. Writer Dean Stefan has passed away. A month ago, he suffered a heart attack. He is survived by his wife Sandy and daughter Andy.
Stefan, also credited as Sandy Scesny, was a longtime writer in animation. He worked on The Smurfs, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Extreme Ghostbusters, Men in Black: The Series, Jackie Chan Adventures, Transformers Prime, and Ben 10: Omniverse. He is known to Marvel fans as the writer of the X-Men episodes "No Mutant is an Island", "Courage", and "End and Beginning".
