Cube is from the Yost Universe series The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The Cube was a high security S.H.I.E.L.D. prison designed to hold prisoners altered by gamma radiation.

Every cell was designed to hold a specific villain and prevent them from using their powers, depending on what their powers are or what they need to stay alive. In the center of the Cube was a gamma generator that sent gamma energy throughout the complex, though the energy source was unstable. There was also a laboratory, where blood samples of every prisoner was kept as well as a control room where all the prisoners were monitored.

Bruce Banner noted that the Cube wasn't just a prison, but a lab created to discover a way to mass produce the inmates and turn them into weapons for S.H.I.E.L.D. and the US military.

When the mass breakout occurred, Leader decided to stay behind and instructed a few other inmates to stay within the Cube to assist him. When Doc Samson was caught in a gamma explosion during the massive breakout, Hulk rescued him and escaped the prison leaving a section of the facility in ruins in the process.

The Cube soon became Leader's base of operations when he constructed the Gamma Emitter, then used the facility as a testing ground for the Gamma Dome during an attempted S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hulkbusters incursion.

At the moment, the Cube is still in ruins and has been abandoned ever due to risk of being exposed to radiation still exist inside the abandoned prison.
