Story[]
The Lizard terrorizes the Florida Everglades, making news in New York. Spider-Man hears about The Lizard, and wants a chance to fight him. After convincing J. Jonah Jameson to fly him there on behalf of The Daily Bugle, Peter Parker ends up in Florida.
While searching for The Lizard, Spider-Man notices a sign pointing to the house of Dr Curtis Connors, a reptile scientist. While on his way to the house, he is ambushed and dragged underwater, but manages to escape. Later, Spider-Man runs into Billy Connors, the son of Curtis Connors. After Martina Connors explains what happened, Spider-Man begins work on an antidote.
After finding The Lizard in a Spanish fort, he manages to restrain the lizard and feed him the antidote. Curtis Connors transforms back into a human, where he meets his family happily. After returning to New York, Peter Parker shows the pictures he took of the Lizard. J. Jonah Jameson throws it away, claiming The Lizard was a publicity stunt by Hollywood, and never really existed.
