Obadiah Stane, also known as Iron Monger, is a shrewd businessman who is in charge of Stark International.
Biography[]

Stane became head of SI after the supposed death of Howard Stark, under the condition that he would give it back to Howard's son Tony when he became eighteen. Stane was second in charge under Howard, however he purposed more militaristic uses for Stark's technology. When he took over he banned Tony from Stark Tower and used the technology to design weapons. He has a daughter named Whitney Stane, who became the villain Madame Masque to get back at her father. When Iron Man emerged he realized that whoever it was had access to far advanced technology than he had access to. He then became obsessed with capturing the hero and taking his suit.

He later built his own armor and became a powerful villain.
