In general, soldiers know it is their duty to protect those who rank above them. It's not as though Ross went ahead of his men to meet Hulk. It's that the men hid behind Ross, which would result in serious reprimands afterwards.--ARTaylor 02:57, July 9, 2018 (UTC)
