Heroes for Hire is from the Yost Universe series The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The Heroes for Hire is a superhero team consisting of Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

HistoryEdit

The Heroes for Hire put an advertisement in the newspaper, which caught the attention of Hank Pym. He hired them to find the person who stole his Ant-Man technology. They waited outside a bank that was robbed by the new Ant-Man and happened to belong to HYDRA. They tracked the robber to two thugs, Scythe and Mangler. They defeated the thugs and fought Ant-Man. However, the man escaped and they agreed not to tell anyone of their defeat. With Pym's help, they tracked Ant-Man to a hotel where they found Scott Lang. Lang explained that the criminal Crossfire captured his daughter Cassie and demanded money he thought Lang had. When Scott escaped again, they followed him to a warehouse and fought Crossfire and his thugs. After the criminals were defeated, Pym allowed Lang to keep the costume and powers. Iron Fist then offered Lang a position on the Heroes for Hire, though it is unknown if he took it. Luke then wondered where to send the bill.

Former S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury investigated the two to see if they were secretly Skrulls.

Following the apparent death of Hank, the two attended his funeral. He later reappeared using the name Yellowjacket.

The two were recruited into the New Avengers after the apparent death of the Avengers. Though that team reappeared.

When Galactus and his heralds came to Earth, the Heroes for Hire joined the Avengers, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, Lang, and many other heroes in protecting Earth.
