Jack Mendelsohn (born November 8, 1926; died January 25, 2017) was a writer who wrote the Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends episode "The Bride of Dracula!"


He is perhaps best remembered for the comic strip Jackys Diary.

Other notable works include Krazy Kat, Beetle Bailey, George of the Jungle, The Beatles, Yellow Submarine, The Carol Burnett Show, The Flintstones Comedy Hour, Speed Buggy, The New Scooby-Doo Movies, Yogi's Gang, Shazam!, Carter Country, The Love Boat, Dennis the Menace, Camp Candy, Toxic Crusaders, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Clifford the Big Red Dog.

He was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Animation Writers Caucus of the Writers Guild in 2004.

He passed away on January 25th, 2017 after a battle with lung cancer. [1]
