Cain Marko was the step-brother of Charles Xavier. He resented Charles for the fact that their parents seemed to love Charles more than him.

Cain gained his powers while on an expedition in Asia when he came across the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak. As the Juggernaut, he attempted to get revenge on his step-brother.

He tried to seek out Xavier at his mansion, knocking it down only to discover that Xavier was not present. He therefore turned to robbing banks in order to attract Xavier's attention. He was defeated by the X-Men and their new ally Colossus, before being given a hypnotic suggestion by Jean Grey that made him forget who and where he was.

Since then he teamed up with many deadly enemies to defeat the X-Men, but they saved his life and restored his powers, but his hatred for Charles remains in question.

Powers[]

Often confused for a mutant, Cain's powers originate from the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak. This gives him superhuman strength and durability. In fact he is practically unstoppable. He can walk miles along the ocean floor without needing air. His only known weakness is psychic attacks, but he counters this with a helmet that blocks them.

Background[]

Juggernaut is voiced by Rick Bennett.

A video using footage from X-Men, called "I'm the Juggernaut, Bitch!" became an Internet sensation. In it, the Juggernaut attacks Xavier and Lilandra, all re-dubbed by the editors, while constantly saying that he "is the Juggernaut, bitch." The video proved so popular that the line was included in the film X-Men: The Last Stand.

In the Comics[]

Has joined the X-Men and Brotherhood of Mutants.

Has also fought Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, and Hulk.

Was tasked by Black Tom with killing Madame Web, in the comics a simple telephatic mutant. Spider-Man defeats him by sinking him in wet cement.

Eternity banished him to an alternate dimension. Pulled back to Earth accidentally by the Hulkbusters.
