While Force Works was fighting Ultimo, Hawkeye compared the enormous robot to King Kong.
When the Fantastic Four went to Wakanda, they encountered a sonic based creature in the shape of an enormous ape. Thing likened the creation to King Kong by calling it Crimson Kong, based on its all red color.
Background
In real life, Peter Cullen voiced Kong in the 1976 film. At one point, J. K. Simmons was attached to Kong: Skull Island.
