Coy Luther Perry III (born October 11, 1966; died March 4, 2019), credited as Luke Perry, was an actor who played Rick Jones on The Incredible Hulk.
Biography[]
He is most famous as Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90210 as well as Fred Andrews in Riverdale. He was set to reprise his role in the 90210 reboot before his passing.
Other notable works include Another World, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Simpsons, Biker Mice from Mars, Spin City, The Fifth Element, The Night of the Headless Horseman, Johnny Bravo, The Enemy, Oz, Clone High, Jeremiah, Will & Grace, Windfall, John from Cincinnati, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Generator Rex, Pound Puppies, Community, Body of Proof, Hot in Cleveland, Black Beauty, Dudes & Dragons, Ties that Bind, Jesse Stone: Lost in Paradise, The Griddle House, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Perry was mentioned in Fantastic Four #374. In the issue, the Fantastic Four at the time was comprised of Ghost Rider, Hulk, Wolverine, and Spider-Man and fought the original Fantastic Four. During the fight, Wolverine cuts Thing's face and when his teammates express concern Ben jokes that he was no Luke Perry to begin with.
On February 27th, 2019, Luke Perry suffered a major stroke at his home in Sherman Oaks, California. He passed away four days later on March 4th, 2019 at the age of fifty-two. He is survived by his children Jack and Sophie, his fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennet, stepfather Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, and sister Amy Coder.[1]
His Beverly Hills 90210 co-star Ian Ziering said, "Dearest Luke, I will forever bask in the loving memories we've shared over the last thirty years. May your journey forward be enriched by the magnificent souls who have passed before you, just like you have done here for those you leave behind. God please give him a seat close to to you, he deserves it."[2]
