Biography[]
Ned wrote an article about Lizard being defeated by Spider-Man.
He covered the trial of Joseph Robertson.
He wrote articles about the vampire Michael Morbius being found and returning to New York City.

Ned was voiced by Bob Bergen.
The first version of the character outside the comics.
Currently, the only version outside the comics to retain his original Caucasian heritage. The rest have been Asian.
In the Comics[]
Ned and Peter competed for the affections of Jameson's first secretary Betty Brant. Peter backed down after he realized she would never accept his dual identities and Ned eventually married her.
The first Hobgoblin, Roderick Kingsley, brainwashed him into thinking he was the original Hobgoblin.
While on the trail of Kingpin, he learned that Wilson's son Richard Fisk hated his father and helped develop the persona of the Rose. He eventually outs Richard's identity as Rose to Kingpin then reveals to the criminal underworld he is Hobgoblin.
While on assignment to Germany, the second Hobgoblin Jason Macendale has Ned killed. When the original Hobgoblin goes after Jason, Peter realizes that Ned was framed.
