20 Years of Toy Story

Today is the twentieth anniversary of the release of Toy Story. The film was a landmark in the industry as the first fully computer generated film. It also launched the hugely successful Pixar Animation Studios, now owned by The Walt Disney Company. Toy Story was followed by two sequels with a fourth in production, an animated series, and several television specials. The film focuses on the lives of a young boy's toys as they deal with him growing older. It was directed by John Lasseter and features the talents of Jack Angel as Shark, Philip Proctor as the Pizza Planet announcer, Lasseter as one of the commercial chorus, and Frank Welker as R. C., Scud, and Buster.
