Today marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the premiere of Melrose Place. The primetime soap opera series, which tied into the concurrently airing Beverly Hill, 90210, followed the lives of several adults living in a West Hollywood apartment complex called Melrose Place. The series received a mixed response from critics but was a major hit with fans, scored high in the ratings, and won numerous awards. The series featured the talents of Mark L. Taylor as Dr. Louis Visconti, Phil Morris as Walter, Ian Ziering as Steve Sanders, Kelly Hu as Andrea, Nan McNamara as an executive, Tim Russ as Roger Chambers, Brian Bloom as Zack Phillips, Anne-Marie Johnson as Alycia Barnett, Michael Des Barres as Arthur Field, and Joseph Campanella as Barry Denoff.
