History[]
Charles Xavier started the X-Men to help establish peace between mutants and normal humans. The first five mutants that Professor X got to join the X-Men were Cyclops, Beast, Marvel Girl, Angel and Iceman. Later they were joined by Firestar.
Later, Bobby Drake and Angelica Jones left the X-Men to attend school at Eastern State University. While there they met Peter Parker and learned that he was Spider-Man. Iceman, Firestar and Spider-Man then formed the Spider-Friends.
Eventually other mutants joined the X-Men such as Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus and Sprite.
Firestar and Iceman went the X-Mansion for an X-Men reunion. However, they were attacked by Juggernaut who wanted to kill is step-brother Charles Xavier. Spider-Man arrived at the X-Mansion and he and the X-Men worked together to remove Juggernaut's helmet. When they removed Juggernaut's helmet, Professor X used his telepathy to temporarily shut down Juggernaut's mind.
Cyberiad trapped the X-Men and the Spider-Friends in the X-Mansion and was determined to get revenge on Firestar whom he blamed for him becoming a cyborg. However, Firestar was able to defeat Cyberiad.

According to Comics Scene #11 "The Education of a Superhero" was intended to be a backdoor pilot for an X-Men cartoon. The series would have featured Videoman and Carol Danvers as members of the X-Men. In this series Carol Danvers would have gone by the codename "Lady Lightning". However, the X-Men series was never produced[1].
The X-Men were featured in the Marvel Mash-Up shorts that aired on Disney XD.
